Toshiba America Consumer Products has recently announced XDE, its new video enhancement technology for DVD’s with the introduction of its latest DVD player, XD-E500. XDE, or “eXtended Detail Enhancement,” is more than just DVD upscaling. It rather, enhances the viewing experience and takes the DVD picture quality into a whole new level. This technology provides an image upscaling from 480i/p up to1080p.
